Since the establishment of our foundry in Lorain, Ohio in 1998, NBM Metals has been the leading manufacturer of continuous cast bronzes in North America. Our production consists of bronze bars in rounds, hollows, rectangles, squares, and hex made to order shapes for customer specific applications. We utilize both vertical and horizontal, computer controlled casting processes at our foundry, and have the capability to continuous cast bronze as large as sixteen inches in diameter (both solids and hollows). We are also recognized throughout North America for casting the largest wear plates in both high leaded tin bronzes and aluminum bronzes.

We also maintain inventories with a substantial size range of centrifugal cast bronze bars in both high leaded tin bronze and aluminum bronze bars. Bars up to thirty inches in diameter are readily available for next day shipment to accommodate the most urgent of breakdowns and repair work. Nickel Aluminum Bronze
NICKEL ALUMINUM BRONZE

Nickel-aluminum bronzes contain 5% to 11% aluminum as well as additions of iron and nickel for strength. Increasing the aluminum content results in higher strength.

Silicon Aluminum Bronze has excellent bearing properties at considerable loads with extreme corrosion resistance.

Silicon Bronze
SILICON BRONZE

Silicon Bronze offers added strength in conjunction with the self-lubricity of silicon for excellent bearing and load properties. AMS 4616 is easily machined into ball bearing cage assemblies.

Nickel Silicon Bronze
NICKEL SILICON BRONZE

Nickel Silicon Bronze has a very high mechanical strength, good wear and corrosion resistance in both marine and industrial conditions.

Nickel Silver Bronze
NICKEL SILVER BRONZE

Nickel Silver Bronze are alloys that contain copper, tin, lead, nickel, and zinc. Nickel Silver Bronze has moderately high strength and good corrosion resistance and are named for their silvery luster.

Nickel Tin Bronze
NICKEL TIN BRONZE

We offer Nickel Tin Bronze including Leaded, Nickel Gear and “Spinodal” Bronzes. Common applications include worm wheels, worm gears, cams, pump bodies and more.

Aluminum Bronze
ALUMINUM BRONZE

Aluminum bronzes are used for their combination of high strength, excellent corrosion and wear resistance. Aluminum bronzes are used in marine hardware, shafts and pump and valve components for handling seawater, sour mine waters, non-oxidizing acids, and industrial process fluids.

Leaded Bronze
LEADED BRONZE

The Leaded Bronze group of alloys main function is to improve machinability. They are known for their resistance towards corrosion, abrasion and their long service life.

Phosphor Bronze
PHOSPHOR BRONZE

Phosphor Bronze, or tin bronze, is an alloy containing copper, tin and phosphorous. The addition of tin increases the corrosion resistance and strength of the alloy.

Manganese Bronze
MANGANESE BRONZE

Manganese bronze contains small additions of manganese, iron and aluminum, plus lead for lubricity, anti-seizing and embeddibility.

Tin Bronze
TIN BRONZE

Tin's principal function is to strengthen these bronze alloys. Tin Bronze is strong and hard and has very high ductility.
